Listening Comprehension: Draw This: Character Edition
Listening comprehension is an extremely important skill to flex alongside reading comprehension.
For this activity, teacher prompts provide narratives about characters to read aloud to your student (s). There are also individual response pages that correspond to each of the ten narratives. You are free to repeat the prompt however many times you feel is appropriate for your class. In addition, for your convenience, there are five differentiated teacher prompts. Remind the students to listen for details and to try to picture the character in their minds. Encourage them to draw with as much detail as they can remember from the prompt.
